The city of Johannesburg was filled with excitement and celebration as the Africa Christian Legendary and Impact Makers Awards (CLIMA AFRICA) held its 9th edition at The Maslow Hotel. The prestigious event brought together Africa’s most influential gospel voices, faith leaders, and impact makers from across the continent and the diaspora.
This year’s ceremony, themed around excellence, influence, and positive impact, honored outstanding personalities and gospel artists of African descent who have made remarkable contributions to ministry, music, media, leadership, and community development.
With participation from 15 African countries, alongside representatives from the USA, UK, and France, CLIMA Africa 2025 stood out as a continental celebration of faith, creativity, and leadership.
Honorary Doctorate Degrees
One of the highlights of the evening was the Investiture Ceremony, where trailblazing African leaders received Honorary Doctorate Degrees from the Global University of Science and Technology, a federally accredited institution recognized in both the United States and Europe.
Top honorees included Dr. Isaiah Macwealth, Dr. Emmanuel Iren, Linah Ngcobo, and Ihhashi Elimhlophe, among others.

The night was filled with vibrant performances from gospel sensations such as Moses Bliss, Lilian Nneji, Bella Kombo, Janet Otieno, Bidemi Olaoba, and Winnie Mashaba, who lifted the audience with spirit-filled songs and energetic ministrations.
