Jonathan Jay, co-founder and CEO of Maverick City Music, has publicly responded to the lawsuit filed against him by gospel artist Chandler Moore, addressing the recent allegations of financial misconduct and mismanagement within the popular Christian music group.

In a detailed statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday, Jay broke his silence for the first time since Moore filed a federal lawsuit against CEO Norman Gyamfi and others, accusing them of diverting millions in royalties. Jay strongly denied the allegations, describing them as completely false. “I cannot let a series of lies go unchecked,” he wrote. “The claims being made against me, against Norman, and against our companies are categorically false. Our business dealings with Chandler were forthright, generous, and above reproach. We acted in good faith, gave more than what was required, and consistently extended grace.”

Earlier this week, Chandler Moore, a former member and worship leader at Maverick City Music, filed the lawsuit citing alleged financial irregularities and mishandling of his music-related income. The legal filing reportedly includes claims of breach of contract and misuse of intellectual property.
